There are two ways to use the system. Either you can access it via this web site, or the system can be installed on your own site. Use Via this Web Site.

If you want use the system via this web site you do not need to install any software, since the system is accessible via your web browser. We recommend Internet Explorer 6 or above, or Firefox.

The advantage of using the system via this site are:

• No hassle, no software, no setup required
• Start using the system straight away.
• Immediate access to any software updates.

Installation on Your Site

To install the Flex Planner facility within your organisation you will require a PC or server on which the software must be installed, and from which all users will access the system via their web browsers.

The Flex Planner PC will require the following to be installed:

• A windows server eg Windows Server 2012 or above
• .net Framework installed 4.5 or above - free from Microsoft
• SQL Server 2012 or above - the free SQL Express Edition may be sufficient if you do not already have a licenced version

Advantages of installating in your organisation are:

• Faster access – no need to go onto the internet to access the system
• Single sign on using your user’s existing logon accounts
• Peace of mind – all your data is stored on your own site Onsite installation is a requirement for larger installations of the system.
